At True North Consulting, our story is one of passion, purpose, and the unwavering belief that every business and leader has a unique path to success—one guided by their core values and a resolute sense of purpose.
My journey began in Decatur, Alabama rooted in Drive, Determination, and Dedication. These were the values I was taught by watching my father go to work day in and day out.
The next logical step for me was to join an organization that cared about pride and work ethic like I did. So, I joined the Army and learned a new tool called teamwork and leadership.
After retiring from the military, I soon discovered that no one has a clear set of rules that everyone buys into. My time in the military taught me several foundational principles—one being it is easier to get the mission completed if the people on the team agree to a certain set of rules.
LDRSHIP—stands for the 7 core values that everyone who volunteered agreed to uphold and live by.
Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage.
These 7 core values were the winning standard and everyone on the team knew no matter what situation came up, good or bad, we all could rely on each person to conduct themselves respecting the full weight and authority of our values.
